On the west side of the church there were two towers which give indications of the existence of an open exonarthex in the form of an open porch on the north and south sides. The south tower was a bell tower, and the north a staircase, which would mean that there was a gallery in the upper parts of the church.

The church, which is supposed to have been dedicated to the Most Holy Mother of God, dates from the beginning of the 11th century and has dimensions of 23 meters by 21 meters, which is basically inscribed an isosceles cross with a narthex with three apses in the altar area. It is made of brick, crushed stone and lime mortar.
The remains of the church were preserved in 2011.

Municipality of Bitola
The archeological site Kale, Bitola, is a medieval settlement located northwest of Bitola on a hill with an altitude of 894 meters which dominates the surrounding area. The ceramic fragments found at the site date the settlement from the second half of the IX to the beginning of the XII century.
On this site are the remains of a medieval church that was built at the beginning of the XI century in honor of the great victory of the Macedonian Tsar Samuel over the army of Emperor Basil II.
According to the legends, after the death of Samuel on October 15, 1014, Gavrilo Radomir was crowned аs Tsar.
